Cassie Smith Dalton, 95, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

She was born in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Lonie Francis and Geter Coleman Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey Eugene Dalton; her sisters, Mildred S. Davis and Iris S. Easley.

Cassie was a Member of Rosemary United Methodist Church where she also served as the Church Secretary.

She is survived by her son, Mark C. Dalton of Lexington, SC.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC with Rev. Steve McElroy officiating.
